Based on travel advisories posted by Air India and Air India Express on their official X accounts on 30 October 2026. Checked on 1 November 2026 (IST).
Air India and Air India Express have pushed back the restart of their Saudi Arabia flights again. In a joint advisory posted on 30 October, the two airlines said that, “due to the prevailing situation in the region”, their flights to and from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam will remain suspended until 14 November 2026 (inclusive).
This replaces the dates in the airlines’ earlier customer replies, which gave 7 November for Riyadh and Dammam and 31 October for Jeddah (as we reported earlier). The new date matches IndiGo’s, which has also cancelled its Saudi flights until 14 November.
Rebooking and refunds
The advisory says guests holding confirmed bookings issued on or before 30 October 2026 for travel up to 14 November 2026 can choose either:
- a one-time free rebooking, subject to availability, for travel up to 29 November 2026; or
- a full refund when they cancel the booking.
Air India guests can rebook to or from any Air India station in Saudi Arabia that is operating. Air India Express guests can rebook to or from any operating Air India Express station in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain.
The airlines list these contact centre numbers for rebooking and refunds: Air India +91 11 69329333 or +91 11 69329999, and Air India Express +91 124 6935600. City booking offices can also help.
What to do
- Travellers: if you hold a ticket to Jeddah, Riyadh or Dammam before 15 November, contact the airline to rebook or cancel. The free rebooking only covers travel up to 29 November.
- Agents: check whether clients’ tickets were issued on or before 30 October, since the advisory’s waiver applies to those bookings. Umrah and work travellers flying through Jeddah are now affected too.
