Cabins and connections
The Lufthansa Group release lists First, Business and Economy Class on the route. It says the flights connect at Zurich to Europe and North America across the Lufthansa Group network, which has more than 70 weekly India flights this winter. Bangalore International Airport’s COO said the link will allow single-ticket transfers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities through Bengaluru’s domestic network.
What it means for agents
South Indian clients going to Switzerland and onward to Europe now have a nonstop option from Bengaluru, without routing through Delhi, Mumbai or a Gulf hub. Tickets are sold on swiss.com and through travel agents. Indian passport holders still need a Schengen visa for Switzerland.
