Based on two Singapore Tourism Board (STB) media releases dated 21 and 23 October 2026. Checked on 26 October 2026 (IST).
The Singapore Tourism Board used ITB Asia 2026, the travel trade show held in Singapore from 21 to 23 October, to sign two new three-year agreements. One is with the online travel platform Booking.com and the other is with the card network Visa.
Booking.com: joint campaigns and data sharing
STB says this is its first memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Booking.com. Under the deal, the two will:
- run joint marketing campaigns aimed at bookings for hotels, flights, attractions and experiences;
- work with Singapore businesses on new products and targeted promotions;
- try to turn long-haul stopovers into longer stays; and
- set up a regular exchange of data on travel patterns, seasonal trends and visitor preferences.
Booking.com will also take part in STB’s sustainability initiatives.
Visa: dining, nightlife and the Visa Destinations programme
The Visa MOU has three parts: promoting Singapore’s tourism products, especially dining and night-time experiences; using Visa’s card-spend data to find high-value opportunities; and co-branded marketing campaigns.
Singapore will also join Visa Destinations, a programme that offers Visa cardholders benefits and experience packages at attractions. STB says it starts in Singapore in November 2026. Singapore is the second country in Asia Pacific to join, after Thailand in July this year. The release says the partners will build on existing tie-ups with Pelago by Singapore Airlines (attractions and tours) and Grab (night-time experiences).
Visa’s data lists Australia, Indonesia, mainland China, Malaysia and the US among the largest travel corridors into Singapore for its cardholders. India is not named in that list.
What it means for agents
Neither release announces offers for India yet. Agents selling Singapore should watch for Visa Destinations benefits from November, which may suit clients who pay with Visa cards, and for Booking.com campaigns under the new deal. Indian travellers still need a visa for Singapore; see our visa tracker.
