Based on Emirates’ official release of 9 July 2026, rechecked on 23 October 2026.
The changes Emirates announced in July for its India network take effect with the winter schedule this Sunday, 25 October.
Delhi gets the A380
Emirates says Delhi becomes its third Indian A380 gateway, after Mumbai and Bengaluru. The double-decker will operate flights EK512/513 in a four-class layout. The airline’s three other daily Delhi–Dubai flights (EK511, EK515 and EK517) use retrofitted Boeing 777s, also with four classes. That means Premium Economy is on every Delhi–Dubai flight.
Kolkata moves to the A350
From 25 October, the daily Kolkata–Dubai flight EK570/571 switches from a Boeing 777 to the Airbus A350, with Premium Economy. Emirates’ second Kolkata service, EK572/573 (five times a week), uses a four-class retrofitted 777. Emirates says this puts Premium Economy on all 12 weekly Kolkata–Dubai flights.
Premium Economy in six cities
By the end of October, Emirates says Premium Economy will be bookable on:
| City | Flights with Premium Economy |
|---|---|
| Delhi | 4 daily |
| Mumbai | 22 weekly |
| Kolkata | 12 weekly |
| Ahmedabad | 9 weekly |
| Bengaluru | 7 weekly |
| Kochi | 2 weekly |
Emirates also said it had opened travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with Hyderabad and Bengaluru to follow, plus a call centre in Mumbai. It serves nine Indian cities with 167 weekly flights to Dubai.
What it means for agents
Premium Economy gives a middle fare option between Economy and Business on most Dubai departures from these six cities. Chennai, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram are not on the Premium Economy list in the release. Check the cabin on each flight number when quoting, because the product depends on the aircraft.
