TAT announcement dated 16 October 2026 (Bangkok).
What’s on offer
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced the third edition of ASEAN India+ Shoppers in Thailand 2026 on 16 October. The campaign uses the slogan “MORE VALUE. MORE THAILAND.” and runs from September to November. TAT did not give an exact closing date.
More than 50 partners are offering discounts, vouchers, gifts and exclusive privileges at department stores, shopping centres, restaurants, Thai brands, hotels and other accommodation. TAT says selected privileges are worth between 500 and 2,000 baht. Retail partners at the launch included King Power, Central and Robinson (Central Group), The Mall Group, One Bangkok, MBK, Siam Piwat and Asiatique The Riverfront.
How travellers claim it
Visitors scan the campaign QR code or go to the campaign website, aseanindiashoppers.com. They register, choose the offers they want and redeem them at participating businesses. TAT says staff will be on hand at airports, in Pratunam and in major shopping districts to help with registration and redemption.
Targets and context
- The 2024 and 2025 editions together generated more than 81 million baht in tourism revenue, according to TAT.
- The 2026 edition also targets travellers from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
- TAT is aiming for 30,000 participating tourists and at least 244 million baht in tourism revenue from the campaign.
- TAT figures show 23.4 million international arrivals to Thailand between 1 January and 30 September 2026, with more than 8.45 million from ASEAN and India so far this year. TAT forecasts 33 million international arrivals for the full year.
Why it matters
- For travellers: Anyone planning a shopping-heavy Bangkok trip before the campaign ends can register in advance and pick offers before they travel.
- For agents: Add the registration link to Thailand itineraries and pre-departure notes for travel before the end of November. TAT has not published a closing date, so confirm it with TAT before you promote the offer.
- Entry reminder: India is on the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ list for the 30-day tourism visa exemption (dated 15 September 2026).
